this is my step grandpa, big al. he is an all out kentuckian and all around great man. he told his doctor that he needs to live long enough to see me graduate from medical school. this is june 2011.

heard it was supposed to snow on thanksgiving in michigan. no! I hate snow.

I have spent the last 24 hours in bed sick sick sick with the highest fever I have ever remembered having. chills abound. I am now just recovering and thinking of getting ready to go home to Michigan for the holidays. Home to main street in a small town.

I have always wanted to be a full time activist. I don't know if it is possible to do so in this era though. I miss my friend Leo. This is us in St. Louis. We were at the Medical Students for Choice conference. This particular picture was at a dinner table at one of the attendant's homes. If I could talk about gender, social justice, reproductive health, violence against women all day, I would feel much more in my own skin.
